A MESSAGE FROM MARK TERRY

After nine and a half years at Dell EMC working directly with customers on the design of resilient and flexible infrastructure to host mission-critical SAP landscapes, I have rejoined VMware as the SAP Global Alliance Sales Manager.  My day-to-day responsibilities focus on two main areas: collaborating with hardware OEM alliance partners on joint go to market initiatives for our combined SAP solutions; and most importantly working closely with VMware and OEM sales teams in the positioning, design, and delivery of SAP on VMware solutions to meet the specific needs of our joint customers.  From communicating the value proposition of SAP on VMware (faster time to value, consistent cloud operating model with better SLAs, lower TCO, lower risk!) to environment discovery, requirements gathering, and HANA sizing, we can collaborate on our customers' success.

When we engage with customers together, we can do so with the absolute confidence that VMware is the ideal platform for agile and sustainable SAP environments.  Through automation and orchestration, unique HA and fault tolerance capabilities, and building block-like resource scalability, we can transform and simplify SAP landscape management, and reduce the time it takes to complete critical SAP operations from weeks and days to hours and minutes.  But this transformation for our customers does not happen with the flip of a switch.  This is why VMware relies on our strategic partner Civatree for the delivery of SAP assessment, design, migration, and optimization services that enable our customers to focus on SAP business outcomes and innovation, instead of just keeping the lights on.
