In November, we celebrated a nice collaborative win with VMware (Katharine Horvat – CSE) and Dell (Mark Terry, now VMware), landing a joint hardware and service solution deal with McAfee. We are now delivering on this multi-layered project which includes assess and design, install, and deployment of McAfee’s SAP in their new Dell HCI environment.

McAfee is a Joint VMware & Dell Technologies win, and Civatree is proud of our involvement in identifying the potential for collaboration and bringing key players together to create a truly complete solution for the customer.

McAfee’s challenge was that they were running SAP BW on an Oracle/TAC physical server-based solution, and they wanted to migrate to a SAP BW on HANA v2.0 on VMware. They also wanted HANA installed and certified on a TDI HW system by Dell. They had no ability to design a best practice document to migrate SAP HANA 1.0 to SAP HANA 2.0 to VMware.

The solution is a Dell VxRail system running on vSphere and NSX, which included HANA TDI implementation and certification including an integrated PSO solution of SAP on VMware Assessment and Design (VMware PSO $181k).
